SEASONS

The rains come
Soaking through the last seasons soil
Finding form in the fiery souls of the coming sprouts
The new season welcomes them,
Nurturing the birth of a new orchard
After this solstice of silence.
They grow,
Green, yet powerful
Saturated with the savoir-faire of the seasons before
Offering fruits of variegated flavor
Changed to suit the new season’s storm
Let the rains come.
