Trinidad & Tobago High Commission in London presents I AM A CARIBBEAN
Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 Categories: Diaspora, Exhibitions, UpdatesThis exhibition at the T&T High Commission is part of the International Fashion Showcase designed by the British Council & British Fashion Council as part of London Fashion Week celebrating talent from around the world in this Olympic year. The work and style of Caribbean Creatives from Trinidad, Tobago, Jamaica, St, Lucia, Carriacou, US and UK captured on canvas and some designs, are the main focus of this exhibition.

Presented in a variety of media from canvas print images, photography and mini portfolios to life-size mannequins and 3D pieces, I Am A Caribbean celebrates emerging Caribbean innovation and expression. Featuring the designs of a number of creative minds – from jewellery and accessories to fashion and photography – the exhibition is choreographed to the beat of the Caribbean.
Visitors to the exhibit and other displays will receive a passport with a stamp. Persons who collect the most stamps will be entered into a prize draw to receive a pair of VIP tickets to attend Vodafone London Fashion Weekend in September 2012, which will include entry into The Platinum Lounge, Complimentary Drinks and Canapés, Front Row catwalk seats, Access to a Personal Stylist and a £250 voucher to spend from over 100 British designers at the event.
