Claude Cauquil was born in 1960 in south of France and has lived and worked in Martinique since 1995. He studied at the ENSET (National university of Technical education) in section applied arts obtaining a control in esthetics in 1985 to the University Paris 1. His work was a part of the Biennial of contemporary art, at the Museum of contemporary art of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and  in 2009 he realized of the mural “Men Moving”, in the town of Fort De France, Martinique.
