Transart Earth Awareness/Social Change Prize

Transart Institute has announced four scholarships for its MFA Creative Practice:

- The Transart Earth Awareness Prize awards $10,000 towards tuition cost on the MFA Creative Practice to two artists with MFA projects that are raising environmental awareness and are exemplary in dealing with the many challenges we face in advancing stewardship for the earth.

- The Transart Social Change Prize awards $10,000 towards tuition cost on the MFA Creative Practice to two artists whose projects are championing social change either through direct involvement with communities or through raising awareness for a specific issue.

Application Guidelines

Artists who wish to be considered for either award need to apply to the MFA Creative Practice by April 15th. Award winners will be chosen by  independent juries by May 1st.

Transart will consider applications from students without a first degree who can show evidence of relevant professional experience. Students who have previous graduate-level coursework can apply credits towards advanced standing. Students who are interested in earning a Studio PhD can apply for the fast-track after one-year on the MFA program.
