SITElines.2014 Unsettled Landscapes Opening Sunday, July 20, 2014

As a reminder, SITElines.2014: Unsettled Landscapes, the first edition of SITE Santa FE’s new biennial series with a focus on contemporary art from the Americas will open to the public this Sunday, July 20, 2014 and will be on view through January 11, 2015 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Preview events will be held this week, July 17-19. ARC Magazine will be acting as a media partner for SITElines.2014, so stay tuned for updates and reports from this year’s biennale.

Unsettled Landscapes will include 45 artists’ collaboratives from 16 countries. Of these works included in the exhibition, there will be 13 new commissions, large-scale installations, significant new works, and off-site projects.

The Davidoff Art Initiative will host a Davidoff Art Dialogue entitled Confronting Paradise: Land and Landscape in the Caribbean on Saturday, July 19 at 11am at Santa Fe Performing Arts’ Armory for the Arts Theater. Moderated by András Szántó, Chief Consultant to the Davidoff Art Initiative and member of Davidoff’s Advisory Committee, the participants will include Blue Curry (Bahamas); Christopher Cozier (Trinidad); Deborah Jack (St. Maarten); Sara Hermann (Dominican Republic) and Glenda Léon (Cuba).
